Secretary: Evan Blankenberger​​

Evan Blankenberger currently serves as the Senior Executive Appointments and Research Associate with the Governor's Office of Executive Appointments. Previously, Evan served in the administration of Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser as Associate Director of the Mayor’s Office of Talent and Appointments, where he facilitated the selection of over 300 Mayoral appointees. Prior to his service in District government, Evan was a Policy Analyst and Policy Coordinator at the National Governors Association, where he covered energy, environment, and infrastructure issues. Before his time in Washington, Evan was a Dunn Fellow with the Governor’s Office of Constituent Affairs during Governor Pritzker’s first term. A Springfield resident, Evan earned his Master of Public Administration in Public Management and State and Local Administration from American University and his Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Government from Northern Illinois University. Evan has two tabby cats and enjoys nature, traveling, and history.
